The job:
We’re on the hunt for a Creative Strategist & Copywriter to join our fast-growing team.

This role is 50% creative strategy, 50% copywriting and requires experience in the direct-to-consumer marketing ecosystem. The ideal unicorn will have a hands-on approach and will be able to deliver data-driven creative strategy and converting copy for DTC brands, working closely with our paid media and retention team.

For you, converting copywriting marries eCommerce strategy at a high-level. You’re enthusiastic, sociable, articulate and an excellent communicator. You have exceptional copywriting and editing skills, adopt a test-and-learn approach and have a triple-check mentality. This role offers incredible room for growth for go-getters.


What you’ll (be excited to) do:

  • Lead creative strategy and copywriting for Paid Media and Retention team, outlining and help optimizing ads, emails, and texts for performance.

  • Write fun, effective and colorful converting copy in different styles to fit each brand’s tone. 

  • Your bread and butter will be outlining ad and email concepts with the help of our team; tying effective copy to visual elements in email and ads; identifying converting hooks starting from the brand’s USPs, offer and customer sentiment; identifying target personas through A/B testing and creating direct response copy that speaks to the customer’s pain points and desires.

  • Conduct competitor research, analyzing Facebook Ad Libraries, trends, customer reviews, and other resources.

  • Revise and approve deliverables (ads, emails, flows, texts, graphics, video creative).

  • Create briefs for graphic designers to bring your vision to life (experience designing video ads for direct response campaigns is a plus).

To be considered you must check these boxes:

  • At least 2-3 years of relevant experience working in copywriting or creative strategy roles.

  • Able to work within US time zones. 

  • Deep understanding of eCommerce, copywriting frameworks, and a proven track record of delivering successful creative content for customer acquisition KPIs (CTR, CPA, MER).

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. An appetite for driving results and staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments.

  • Experience in A/B testing and a test-and-learn approach to creative marketing.

  • Enthusiastic, sociable, articulate, and confident for both client and team facing communication. 

  • High emotional intelligence, excellent communicator with an ability to listen, support, and encourage others.

  • Exceptional copywriting and editing skills.

  • Understanding of conversion copywriting, proofing and storytelling. Experience using Chat GPT prompts is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented with a triple-check mentality.

  • High levels of integrity, autonomy and self-motivation - but you are ultimately a team player.
